The American documentary photographer Dorothea Lange once said that “Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.” Henri Cartier-Bresson, a pioneer of photojournalism, said that "photographs could reach eternity through the moment.”

Brian Knight Photography takes pride in continuing the tradition set forth by these photographic giants. We approach each portrait shoot with the goal of making photos that tell stories, stories that will last a lifetime and beyond. We work to catch unguarded moments. We thrive in the fluid dynamics of the day capturing the essence and emotions of our subjects.

Unlike the majority of portrait studios, Brian Knight Photography schedules only a limited number of portrait shoots per year. Doing so allows us to focus on our clients. You will never be lost in the shuffle or suffer from a lack of dedication and the individual attention you deserve.

Another difference setting us apart is that we come to you! Gone are the dark rooms and fake backdrops. Your life is our studio. We will meet you at the setting of our choice... your home, your favourite park or playground. Relaxed and surrounded by a familiar setting your photos will develop naturally.

*Travel

Travel fees apply for locations 50 miles or more from the Photographer’s Studio in Fairfax, Virginia. Required travel of 50 miles or more is $1.00 a mile (50 miles = $50.00).
