A typical day in the (totally glamorous) life of an adventure sports photographer…

0700 – Alarms go off (x3)
0730 – Actually get out of bed
0730 – Shower, check the forecast, realise that the rain is not going to stop and will in fact continue for quite a bit longer, rush around to find gore-tex boots, pants and hat, a tent, and anything else that seems like it might be good to have around while intentionally subjecting oneself to a rain storm (oh, and some sort of pack to put it all in – This, by the way, all in addition to the other backpack full of camera gear).
0800 – Wander out to the car with all of my bags, drive to the park
0830 – Hike off to my spot on the trail, set up the tent’s rainfly, hunker down, and wait for runners
0910 – 1100 – take some photos (6,072 to be exact)
1130 – Drive home, change clothes, hang up gear to dry
1230 – Make brunch, eat
1300 – Start downloading memory cards
1500 – Finish downloading memory cards/start photo sorting
1600 – Fall asleep on the couch, nod off during X-Men 3 about a dozen times
1700 – Sort photos
2230 – Finish first sort, head on to second sort
0000 – Finish second sort, create new photoshop action, test
0030 – Start automated editing process
0100 – Blog a bit, sleep
0700 – Alarms go off (x3)
0730 – Actually get out of bed
0730 – Shower, put on suit & tie, make the hour (14 mile) long drive to the office, do work stuff, etc.
